a high-school teacher, architect, singer, lawyer, hairdresser, hustler and others. Mr. McNally has a brilliant sense of humour and irony. And though totally unexpected, the play is wonderfully light and funny until the later scenes, when the darkness comes.CORPUS CHRISTI is about the persecution of homosexuals. But CORPUS CHRISTI, is mainly about love; the universality of God's love and about how human love is expressed through sexuality.
In his intro, Mr. McNally said:
"Very few Christians are willing to consider that their Lord and Saviour was a real man with real appetites, especially sexual ones. To imagine that He was not only sexually active but a homosexual as well is gross blasphemy.
