Alison trained at Manchester Polytechnic School of Theatre.  Acting jobs include The Tempest, Royal Exchange; Electronic Dark Age, Edinburgh Festival and The Censor by Anthony Neilson.  Work as Assistant Director includes Hoover Bag by Anthony Neilson at the Young Vic Studio and The Censor by Anthony Neilson.  Alison has also written several publications for BBC Childrens' Books.
