For the Credits
Click hereCallas Forever is a fictionalised account of the final days in the life of the Greek-American opera singer, Maria Callas (played by Fanny Ardant), and her ill-fated comeback. Franco Zeffirelli (Romeo and Juliet, Hamlet, The Champ) directed and co-wrote the script with Martin Sherman (Bent). Callas Forever started filming on 20 July 2001 in Paris, for one week, then moved on to a film studio in Bucharest, Romania, for nine weeks in early August, then moved on to Granada and Cordova, Spain.
Stephen's character's name is Brendan. In the film, he is part of the Larry Kelly/Maria Callas entourage. Largely he behaves like a personal assistant, answers the phone, runs errands, attends meetings, takes notes, gets the car, acts as a driver. He follows Larry Kelly (Jeremy Irons) and Maria Callas (Fanny Ardant) around a lot, in case they might want something. He may also be a bit of a body guard; he ushers Maria Callas (Fanny Ardant), in and out of places, quite a few times.
Have a listen to Stephen as Brendan
