What STEPHEN BILLINGTON had to say about CORPUS CHRISTI:

.

"There was no way I could turn the part down.  I would urge people not to judge the play before seeing it," he said.
"It is an important play, very pertinent now especially with the attacks on minorities in London in recent months - the nail bomb attacks and everything.   It is a very important play with a message about tolerance."
"It's a story about hate crimes and is not anti-Christian.  In fact, the play preaches fellowship, love, care, sensitivity and tolerance.  I have no problem whatsoever playing Judas as a gay character."
