About how people may react to him after playing Greg:
"I'm a bit worried, more so than if I was just playing a nasty character in a one off drama. Coronation Street is so real for so many people and I can totally understand why the characters become a part of people's lives. They take it very seriously and that's the disturbing aspect of playing Greg in the Street. (Coronation Street Magazine, Issue 59)
About Greg Kelly:
"He turns into a madman. His plan hasn't worked, and like a lot of people in that situation he blames everyone but himself. Deep down he knows that he's as much to blame as anyone for what has happened but Sally is the closest person to him and it is in his nature to blame her. He's a very selfish man." (Coronation Street Magazine, Issue 59)"Greg is a bit of an opportunist. He knows he can get his own way by charming people, and he does. I wouldn't say that he is callous, but he is basically interested in what can do him the most good and further his own life. He's not really interested in anyone else and he isn't afraid of hurting people."(Coronation Street Magazine, Issue 51)
"Greg can really be a bit of a swine. He's quite spoilt and used to getting what he wants and he is willing to trample people underfoot to do that. When he hears about Sally's inheritance he goes after her. I don't think he necessarily sees it as being swinish. As far as Greg is concerned he is doing what is necessary. He's an opportunist and goes for it without really thinking about other's feelings."(Coronation Street Magazine, Issue 53)
