Phil Willmott has directed over forty productions around the UK, from Shakespeare and musicals, to cutting edge new writing. He is Artistic Director of his own multi- award-winning theatre company,The Steam Industry (incorporating The Finborough Theatre and the open-air ‘Scoop’ amphitheatre on London’s South Bank.) He was an Associate Artist of London’s acclaimed Battersea Arts Centre throughout the 1990's, and Associate Director of the Yvonne Arnaud Theatre in Guildford. While in Liverpool he will also be doing research for his 2008 commission, 'Adelphi--The Musical'.
