Stephen did this episode of RELIC HUNTER for Paramount Domestic Television. The episode is entitled The Royal Ring, written by Ron Levinson and directed by Jurgen Wolff.  It aired the 7th of May, 2001.

Stephen as Palmer.

In this episode, Stephen plays a character called Palmer. The British Museum had hired him to decode a riddle written by Henry VIII that could lead to finding the long-lost wedding ring of Anne Boleyn. But then the museum decides that maybe Sydney Fox (Tia Carrere, aka the main character of the series) could be of more help, and calls her in. The plot revolves around who is going to find the ring first. There are also some secondary love interests. [Not with Stephen.] Also guest starring are Crispin Bonham Carter as Preston Bailey, Rachel Pickup as Amanda Reardon, Vernon Dobtcheff as Anthony Cureton, and Jurgen Zwingel as Willis.

RELIC HUNTER if you haven't watched it before [I hadn't] is kind of like a cross between Indiana Jones and Jonathan Creek. Like the name says, they hunt for relics. Solve puzzles. The plot was fun. There was not nearly enough Stephen. But fun. Stephen's Palmer is sarcastic at times. Angry and mean at other times. But sparkly and focused, and definitely interesting! Stephen has a real nice haircut and the costuming sets him off just right. You'll enjoy Palmer. I sure did! Relic Hunter looks like it was shot right there in UK.

Looking at some papers.
He looks up as the door opens.
Palmer watches the Doctor enter.
*Sydney Fox. She's coming to London?*
*I can assure you I will.*
*Though this does make the chase that much more interesting.*
*She's a worthy opponent.*
*I may enjoy this little adventure more than I thought.*
*Don't worry Doctor.*
*You've provided a more than generous arrangement for my services.*
*I don't intend to disappoint.*
He looks up as Sydney enters.
*I'm here on official business...*
...*sanctioned by the British Museum.*
*You can laugh all you like when the guards throw you out for trespassing.*
*I thought I'd go your route. Turn it over to the museum so that hoards of chubby tourists in black socks and cowboy hats can gawk at it with their beady uncomprehending eyes.*
She turns away from him.
*Oh I think I am.*
*Meaning what?*
They fight out into the hall.
Fighting on the floor.
He backs away.
*She just attacked me!*
*Ah!*
*I do hope...*
*...you enjoyed...*
...*the tour.*
*There are several references to Henry's visits there with Elizabeth.*
*Someone's at the door.*
*I'll call you later.*
He opens the door.
*Yes. Well, let's make it quick, eh?*
*I don't have a buyer. I was officially hired by the British Museum.*
Stephen's credit.

Availability:

I got my copy from a friend in Canada. She got hers off of 'Space'. So if you are in Canada, you might keep an eye on that channel. Otherwise you would want to watch out for it on whichever affiliate of yours that shows Paramount. Relic Hunter, at their site, has a list of affiliates for the States. You can get to that list via the front door at the Relic Hunter site, which is http://www.relichunter-tv.com/. [They use frames, so I can't give you the exact page.] But it could very well be shown again during summer re-runs, so keep an eye out!
